Question: What do you think of my new I.Q. test for people with high I.Q.’s?
I would like to know what you folks think of my test of measuring ones I.Q. for those that have a high I.Q. Here are my questions.
1. Do you smoke? I love it when someone tells me that they have a high I.Q. or a member of that club, what ever the name of it is and then they light up. Or worse they light up after they have been told that they have cancer, “personal experience”. That is parallel with the intelligence of an amoeba.
2. Did you buy (not rent) a house right next to a freight train track? Sorry, that is very stupid.
3. If you are a person of faith, then does someone have to tell you to turn your cell phone off in a chapel or in another case a movie theater? Sorry, that is very stupid as well.
4. Do you drive and talk or text message on a cell phone at the same time? Sorry that is very stupid too.
5. Have you turned yourself over to booze or drugs? If you are so smart then why let a drug control your life? I do not get it.
6. Do you tail gate when you drive even though you know if the person in front of you stops you will hit them? Vary stupid.
7. Do you think you know everything? No comment.
Please let me know what you think of my questions and if you think you have more questions to add, please do. Thinks for you opinions.
Thanks Erunno and thanks for your honesty. The smoking and the freight train questions happened to me on a personnel level. A close friend who I know had a very high I.Q. was stuck into smoking. He and I would argue about his smoking and how it is so illogical till it killed him. I have a normal I.Q. but what I would do if I had a high I.Q.. With such a gift I would do everything thing I could to evolve into a better human being for every minute I live. I hate hearing about the “poor tortured genius” crap and that is why they tried those drugs or killed themselves. Give me a brake please!!!! Either your smart or you are not, sounds to me like you are one of the smart ones. Thanks.

1. Nope, I don’t smoke.
2. I’m 19, haven’t bought/rented a house or apartment. And I don’t think I would near a train track…
3. I always make sure to silence or shut off my phone before entering any place. I find it even rude to be talking while at a cash register (and I work retail and many people have done this to me…very rude!)
4. I drive. I don’t even switch the radio station/CD while driving, I wait for a red light or stop sign.
5. Nope, I don’t do drugs or drink. Sure I’ve had a few drinks here and there, but I’m not big on it at all, I’ve been “dry” since January, when I had one glass.
6. I don’t tail gate, and when people do, I purposely slam my brakes to get them off. It’s not only stupid, it’s rude.
7. Of course not, you learn something new everyday, unless you stay cooped up somewhere.
Your questions were good. I like how on cooking shows, such as Hell’s Kitchen, the people smoke. Idiots. Smoking can kill your sense of taste.
My mom texts while driving. I make sure she doesn’t when I’m in the car. I show her articles about how people do it, even truck drivers have gotten in accidents…and they are professional drivers, yet texting has caused accidents. She does says ‘I watch the road’ and when she texts, she looks down for a split second or two, and I tell her that’s when it’ll happen. It takes probably .2 a second to get into an accident.
Your questions bring about a point of irony to people. They think they are perfect, yet if they answer yes to one of these questions, we know they aren’t.
Today in church, in fact, someone’s cell phone went off. Pisses me off.
I’ve also seen people text at the movies. You may be texting, but I can still see a bright blue screen in front of me.
I see almost no hope for 3/4 of our population. Working in a mall, I like to people watch. Man, there are some stupid people out there.

I guess cause it’s fun, convenient, distracting, annoying, etc.
So many people try to do too many things at once, so instead of talking while stationary (say like a land line phone conversion), they have to drive as if they are intoxicated by talking on a cellphone while negotiating traffic -a bad and dangerous choice.
Between cellphone conversations, and the latest fad of texting, way too many unnecessary phone calls are made in places that will offend others around, including their friends.
THINGS YOU COULD YELL AT PEOPLE WHO CELLPHONE AND DRIVE:
1) “Are you cellphone drunk?”
2) “Is your phone call that important to risk your life over?”
3) “This is your brain on a cellphone!”
4) “Multi-tasking does NOT work for you!”
5) “You should be arrested for DUCI ‘driving under the cellphone influencece’.”
6) “Why don’t you wait and use your cellphone after the accident you cause!”
The cellphone… It’s not mainly just for emergencies anymore.

When people just generally refer to “electromagnetic radiation”, like the kind from generators, or cell phones, or whatever, where on the EM spectrum would that be? If I’m not mistaken, all forms of electromagnetic energy are somewhere on the EM spectrum (in fact I believe they could all technically be classified as a type of light, albeit non-visible, even radio waves, as strange as that may seem?).
But when people just mention electromagnetic energy, like from electronics, or power lines, or even an electromagnet itself (say the kind used to pick up cars for compacting at a junkyard) or whatever, they never say where on the EM spectrum that type of electromagnetic energy falls. Is it radio waves? Microwaves maybe? Can anyone help me out here? Anyone know this answer?

@ Technobuff Umm….what? Electromagnets don’t emit electromagnetic radiation? Are you sure? That sure doesn’t sound right. Not to be a smartass, but do lightbulbs not emit light, either? O_O

“electromagnetic radiation” is a GENERAL word for ANY wave type which is the same “stuff as light”.
