Jupiter sounds (so strange!) NASA-Voyager recording
From an original CD: JUPITER NASA-VOYAGER SPACE SOUNDS (1990) BRAIN/MIND Research Fascinating recording of Jupiter sounds (electromagnetic “voices”) by NASA-Voyager. The complex interactions of charged electromagnetic particles from the solar wind , planetary magnetosphere etc. create vibration “soundscapes”. It sounds very interesting, even scary. Jupiter is mostly composed of hydrogen and helium. The entire planet is made of gas, with no solid surface under the atmosphere. The pressures and temperatures deep in Jupiter are so high that gases form a gradual transition into liquids which are gradually compressed into a metallic “plasma” in which the molecules have been stripped of their outer electrons. The winds of Jupiter are a thousand metres per second relative to the rotating interior. Jupiter’s magnetic field is four thousand times stronger than Earth’s, and is tipped by 11° degrees of axis spin. This causes the magnetic field to wobble, which has a profound effect on trapped electronically charged particles. This plasma of charged particles is accelerated beyond the magnetosphere of Jupiter to speeds of tens of thousands of kilometres per second. It is these magnetic particle vibrations which generate some of the sound you hear on this recording. Visit www.inner-net.com for more sounds.
Part 2 of public presentation, “Cell antennas, phones and Wi-Fi: What You Need to Know to Protect Your Family” by leading environmental health experts Dr. Magda Havas and Elizabeth Kelly. The event aims to increase public awareness about the latest science and research on wireless dangers to our health and what we can do about it. In this clip, Dr. Havas continues her presentation. Date and location: Sept. 2, 2010 @ Temple Aliyah in Woodland Hills, CA.
@tomoulevou Ever heard of digital processing?
Dude if I was Jupiter I would so compose a melody about how stoic I am and how lonely and dark space is (the sun is pretty small from jupiter).
Like a monolith in the abyss. Like a pimp.
That’s what I’d name my debut album.
That, or I’d fornicate with earth girls in the form of a golden shower – roman style love.
the artist should be Jupiter
i didnt hear anything …i think its too far away
Sound ISN’T eletromagnetic, so the space being vaccum DOES mean that there’s no sound there.
This vid is bullshit
@etereal05 Actually there are some solids on Jupiter due to a high pressure in the core caused by gravity. But we know that Jupiter is made of gases because we can observe magnetosphere and count some info, observe spectrum of light, we checked the planet by radar scan of several space probes, also Galileo probe had another small probe onboard which went into Jupiter and for some time sent some physical and chemical data.
@etereal05 Observing several objects you can count and find out several info. – It’s not theory, some things can be proved by math using different info we have. Eg. In 1955, Bernard Burke and Kenneth Franklin detected bursts of radio signals from Jupiter, with a frequency of 22.2 MHz [20]. The period of these bursts correspond to rotation of the planet, which allowed to improve the accuracy of the designation of speed of rotation.
Having a look of Polish constitution: it has 243 articles and each article is about a size of two amendments US constitution.
@CarFox6 So what, we also have to learn about the USA geography. Constitution of USA is rather short and simple to remeber due to it’s age (old, simple document), we also learn lots of parts from Polish constitution in medium school and Polish constitution is much longer and more complicated (I read both of them). History of USA isn’t a problem because it’s quite young country. We have to learn over 1000 years of Polish history, also history of entire world.
@CarFox6 Easy, large cities. Do me a favor, how anybody can be unable to find on a map of Europe one of the largest countries in it, while he actualy came to this country? He doesn’t know to where did he bough the ticket? He can’t read the map? It’s like another stupid situation when I had to tell some French guests who was Charles de Gaulle. Polish kids learn about this guy in gimanzjum (lower level than medium school) and the French doesn’t know who he was.
El sonido no se propaga en el espacio exterior
I really want to know the explanation of HOW science know ALL that information of Jupiter Mechanics, or its just a Theory? (like pretty much everything else in science… and accepted wild guess)… Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE SCIENCE, but I hate when Information is taking by granted without any proof, and everything else is disregarded as junk…, HOW they know theres no “ground” on Jupiter?, how we know the speeds of winds relative to the core?
@CarFox6 lol those are the two things I need the most of. And besides my highschool is terrible. Its 7-12 and in 7th we had to take french, italian, and spanish PLUS all the subjects that actually mattered compared to silly elementary school subjects PLUS orchestra which Ive managed to stick with. Its just hard for an average student to pick up on things that seem minor to someone advanced like you.
@SparrowNoblePoland We have to memorize the states, capitols, geography, history and amendments to the constitution of one of the largest countries on Earth, as well as the geography of the rest of the world.
@SparrowNoblePoland Nice generalization there, pal. Sorry, but I don’t represent the entire American population, and neither do the idiots you randomly go up to and give pop quizes and geography. Anyways, they’re technically right. Poland is between Spain and the Russian Federation. Here’s a little geography question: can you point out Crater Lake on a map of America? How about Detroit or Kansas City?
@MyCommentsMatter1 I went through the IB program. Basically, it starts in sixth grade (although I was in the gifted program at my primary school) and you skip the standard sixth grade classes and take seventh grade classes instead. It gets a little more complicated in high school, where you’re required to take a foreign language, a two-year class, several AP classes, and a bunch of other stuff. How I got through it was 3 1/2 hours of sleep a night and absolutely no social life outside of school.
geil könnte saltos schlagen so happy
@arnity123 But… You critisise someones prejudices against Americans. Still you say “most of them aren’t as racist as Europeans” – that’s just another prejudice. You even emphasise this by saying “probably you”. I just love being right, just as much as I love not having DOUBLE STANDARDS:-)
i can hear a bit of the storm
This is not sound. It is an audio representation of electromagnetic fields
@AdamTheRoy Skrillex does work for NASA
You’re all invited at NASA SOUND SYSTEM 2011 get your badges at nasa.gov
@someonelseable dont dis americans man. just dis america.
sounds like a giant top
@arnity123 i’ll tell you about the americans.. they belive in el chupacabra, they belive in yetti, in nessy, in ghosts and poltergheist.. they belive in ufo, they belive in destiny, jesus and in reincarnaiton at the same time! and they belive that killing people in irak, afganistan and libia and others it is a God blessed right thing!
i bellive in life otside but not in little green people with big black eyes flying on sigars excuse me.. but i guess you do..
so what about my little world?
@knownasthrae No. This was 1990. 2001: A Space Odyssey came out in 1968. Please be less of a retard and learn time.
